We are currently in development. Feel free to have a look around and message us with any questions, suggestions, feedback, or if you would like to volunteer. Every summer we provide internships for trainee fiction editors for a period of 4 months.

Once upon a time, there was a dreamer, full of creative vision, hidden talent and a willingness to work hard to become a successful writer. But had trouble with the English language and couldn't quite articulate well enough to be noticed by the big boys.
Chapter 1: Fear not, we can help!
Editors at publishers won't even look at your manuscript if it's not well written, and most editors prefer to have something in good shape before pruning it, leaving you feeling disheartened and discouraged.
You worked so hard to write your book, and now you're faced with a giant wall because your English or writing isn't great. Well, don't worry, we, here at Daydreamers Editing, aren't like book publishers and other editing services. We are happy to take any manuscript, providing it is readable, and create something worthy enough for publishers.
We love to nurture budding writers and offer a specialised service for authors who need much editing on their manuscript due to non-fluency in the English language, limited writing experience or lack of grammar knowledge.
In essence, we are a cross between translators and editors as we work closely with the authors to translate their native language expressions into English and edit to make sure their story maintains their voice and cultural heritage.
We provide the traditional services of proofreading and editing. However, we also take a more teaching approach and include detailed advice and feedback on character development, voice, style, plot, setting, point of view and grammar, and other aspects.
Our unique system allows writers to develop their English and writing skills. We also provide links to resources that further aids your development.
Chapter 2: Not enough money, no worries!
What also sets us apart is that we aim to be completely affordable, working on a pay-what-you-can business model. Instead of charging huge fees for services, we consider your current situation and negotiate a reasonable price for you.
Prices can be anything from £5 for 5000 words (the recommended prices), or the current rate that most editors charge, or if you are impressed with our services, something more generous to reward us for our hard work.
We love that we are able to fill a niche and hope to help overcome social, language and financial barriers allowing new and talented writers to emerge from the shadows without the worry of high editing costs.
Our self-developed system is a new approach, and confident we can help many aspiring writers become published authors.
NOTE 1: We may adapt our model in the future to accommodate business needs.
NOTE 2: As we base this on developing good, trusting relationships with our customers, we may ask for income evidence.
Chapter 3: Our team
Our staff are highly skilled editors with a wealth of experience in proofreading, editing, teaching, English Language teaching, and their own works, which make them a perfect Daydreamers editor.
You can be confident in the knowledge that your manuscript is in good hands. We will always talk to you during the process and keep you informed.
Chapter 4: Flexibility
As we are currently an innovative start-up, many at Daydreamers Editing team members work with us alongside other commitments, so flexibility is an essential part of the business.
But don't let that put you off, we still put 110% into your work! You will discover that it is more beneficial for you, especially for those who have full-time jobs, as we often arrange meetings outside of business hours, in the evenings, weekends, or early hours of the morning.
Chapter 5: The little extras
Before we take on work, we will assess your manuscript for clarity and match you to the best editor for your ‘starting’ place.
We will also ask some questions to get a true sense of your needs and your level.
We also have a YouTube channel where we create content: we teach you how to write fiction and provide lots of helpful information on writing a story. From knowing the most effective way to use dialogue to exploring narration and points of views (POV). You might like to visit the 'Online Writing School' section.
